SECTION 2: ADMISSIONS
2.2 University 1
Commencing September 1998, most students newly admitted from high school, and those who have completed less than 24 credit hours at another post-secondary institution, will complete the first year of their degree programs in University 1. Refer to the section entitled University 1 at the beginning of this Calendar for more information.
Requirements for General Admission into the Faculty of Human Ecology from University 1:
- A minimum adjusted Grade Point Average of 2.0 in at least 24 credit hours of University 1 courses;
- Advance admission into the faculty for high school students on the condition that they successfully complete University 1 as stated in the preceding paragraph; which includes:
- 6-12 credit hours from Arts, and 6-12 credit hours from the Science for a total of 18 credit hours from Arts and Science; 6-12 credit hours from any University 1 course(s) to a total of 24-30 credit hours.
Recommendations for Completion of Human Ecology Programs within Four Years of Full-Time Study:
It is recommended that students include the following courses in their 24-30 credit hours of University 1:

Year Designation:
Students will enter the Faculty of Human Ecology upon successful completion of at least 24 credit hours in University 1 courses. Entry into the faculty will be based on the number of credit hours completed:
