Simple Search
To do a simple search, type in keywords or a course number associated with the
course you are looking for and then click the "Search" button. The Calendar
checks the more than 4800 courses available in all faculties and
departments to see if any of their titles or descriptions match the terms
you have requested.
Faculty and Department Menu Pulldowns
If you already know the faculty or department that offers the courses you want,
you can immediately narrow your search by using one or both of the two pulldown
menus found below the search text box.
If you select a department in the first menu after typing your keywords, its
associated faculty automatically appears in the second menu. Click "Search."
If you would like to confine your search to a particular faculty but you don't
wish to specify a single department, pick the faculty from the second menu.
Click "Search." The first menu remains as "Search All Departments" and your
search results will contain relevant courses from all the departments within
the faculty you chose.
For example, if you enter "introduction literature" as your keywords and then
select the department of English, the faculty pulldown instantly changes to
"Arts, Faculty of." The search returns the relevant courses available in the
English department in the Faculty of Arts.
If you leave the departments menu to search "all" but change the faculty menu
to "Arts" for this example, the list of courses returned includes all those
relevant from the Faculty of Arts' departments of English; French, Spanish &
Italian; Icelandic; Near Eastern & Judaic Studies; Religion; Slavic and German
Studies; and Theatre.
