Eligibility The American Society for Nondestructive Testing offers the following awards: ASNT Fellowship Award is a cash award granted to an educational institution to fund specific research in NDT at the postgraduate level (MS of PhD). Academic institutions with graduate educational research programs are invited to submit proposals each year. Value: up to $15,000 per award Application deadline: October 14, 2011 Outstanding Paper Awards The purpose of these two awards, one for Materials Evaluation and one for Research in Nondestructive Evaluation is to encourage a high degree of effort toward technical, educational or managerial achievement in NDT through publication in these ASNT journals. Selection is based equally on the material's originality, usefulness and clarity, and on the appropriateness and accuracy of its supporting material. Value: citation Application deadline: publication during previous calendar year. The Robert Oliver ASNT Scholarship is an annual award granted to the student who submits the most outstanding paper about NDT research, investigation or development. This award honors and assists student who have chosen NDT as a career and are currently enrolled in an NDT program leading to an undergraduate degree, associate degree or postsecondary certificate. Value: $2,500 Application deadline: February 15.
