From donations made from colleagues and friends of Dr. C. Keith Bell, a fund has been established at The University of Manitoba to support a research prize.
The prize will be awarded annually to a student who:
has completed at least one year of graduate study with Earth Sciences as his or her principal subject;
has shown special merit in pre-Cambrian geo-scientific research in the Geological Sciences Department of The University of Manitoba.
In any year in which, in the judgment of the selection committee, no student qualifies for the prize, that year's earnings will be added to the corpus of the fund. If additions to, and earnings on, the fund permit, the value of the annual research prize may be increased. |
