Eligibility	The Geological Association of Canada (local branch) offers a prize at The University of Manitoba. The purpose is to encourage graduate students in the preparation and presentation of scientific research and to aid in the attendance of students at the annual meeting of the Geological Association of Canada/Mineralogical Association of Canada. Candidates for this prize will present abstracts of their presentation to the GAS/MAN and make their presentation to a committee of the Department of Geological Sciences. The student whose abstract is accepted by GAS/MAN and whose presentation is judged by the departmental committee to be of greatest merit will be invited to present his or her paper at the annual meeting of the GAS/MAN.
