Eligibility In memory of Wladimir Kossar, his family and friends have established a fund with The University of Manitoba in order to provide awards in Slavic Studies. The interest earned on the fund is to be made available for one or more award annually, as determined according to the following criteria (listed in the order of priority) to a student (or students) who:
  • has completed an outstanding Masters thesis in Ukrainian Studies;
  • enters, or continues with, study in the graduate programs in Ukrainian Studies;
  • is pursuing research in Ukrainian (and requires assistance for travel research and resource materials, etc.).

  • In the event that no suitable candidate is found for this award, the interest earned shall be added to the capital of the fund.
