Eligibility A scholarship fund has been established at The University of Manitoba in memory of George A. Lubinsky, late Professor Emeritus in the Department of Zoology. To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must:
  • if a Ph.D. candidate; (a) be registered as a graduate student in the Department of Zoology of The University of Manitoba; (b) have completed the residence requirements for the degree.
  • if an M.Sc. candidate: (a) have completed one full year of study in a Master's program in Zoology while registered at The University of Manitoba.
  • Students may both apply and be nominated for this scholarship. The Department will undertake to inform all eligible students of the availability of the award.
    The Committee will carefully consider the 'potential as a scholar and scientist' of each candidate to include such aspects as breadth and depth of scholarship, research activities, and ability to disseminate knowledge.
