Eligibility In memory of Miss Katharine M.S. Middleton,The University of Manitoba Alumni Association recommends that a fund be established in order to provide a graduate scholarship in the Foods and Nutrition Department of the Faculty of Human Ecology.
The fund is to be established with the residual bequest of $40,000 left to the Alumni Association by Miss Middleton's estate. (Miss Middleton, a distinguished food consultant, graduated from the University in 1929 with a Home Economics degree and worked with Eaton's, the Winnipeg Tribune and in Chicago in her area of expertise.)
The Scholarhsip will be awarded annually to a graduate student working on a research program focusing on food product development. Selection is to be based on academic achievement and on the strength of the research project.
