In memory of Peter and Dorothy Saydak, their sons, Alan and Richard, and their families established a scholarship fund (initially of $2,000) at The University of Manitoba in 1995.
The scholarship is awarded annually to a part-time student in the Master of Nursing Program who has completed at least 12 credit hours. Students are invited to submit a letter of application by April 30, addressing the following criteria:
demonstration of leadership within the professional nursing community;
high scholastic standing (minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 in the Master of Nursing program); and,
demonstration of research/clinical interest in the health of seniors and their family support networks. |
