The Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa (hereafter “Scuola”) announces a competition (“Competition”) based on candidates’ degrees, work to date and possible oral exam, for 10 doctoral (PhD) positions, reserved to university graduates from non-European Union nations for the following PhD positions in the Faculty of Arts: - 4 PhD positions in the following subject areas: Modern Languages and Linguistics; Classical Languages, Linguistics and History; Philosophy; History (from Medieval to Contemporary); Art History. Applications for PhD positions are invited from citizens of non-European Union nations (detailed information can be found in the Competition regulations attached under letter “A”) with the following requisites:
a)
the candidate must have completed a 2nd-cycle university degree or equivalent by 31 October 2010;
b)
the candidate must be under 30 years of age as of the application deadline for the Competition;
c)
the candidate must not have been subject to the disciplinary measure of “expulsion” from the Scuola provided for by the Internal and Academic Regulations;
Candidates for modern languages, history and art history must also speak, understand, read and write Italian fluently. |
