Two funds have been established by TransCanada PipeLines, as part of the Graduate Fellowship Matching Funds program, to provide graduate fellowships annually, one in the Faculty of Engineering and one in the Faculty of Science. The available annual interest *earned (initially about $2000 each) is to be offered each year from these funds.
The TransCanada PipeLines Graduate Fellowship in Engineering shall be awarded to a full-time graduate student with high academic standing (minimum 3.5 G.P.A.) from any Department in the Faculty of Engineering, who is working towards a Ph.D. or Masters degree, preferably in the field of pipeline systems.
The TransCanada PipeLines Graduate Fellowship in Science shall be awarded to a full-time graduate student with high academic standing (minimum 3.5 G.P.A.) in the Faculty of Science. This fellowship is normally to be offered as a supplementary ("top-up") award to a University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship (UMGF) recipient, but may be offered as a "stand-alone" award, at the discretion of the selection committee. |
