Vogel and in recognition of his distinguished service with the Canadian Wheat Board and the World Food Program, and awards fund has been established at the University of Manitoba. Because of the significance of developing appropriate techniques for processing agricultural raw material into food products and of the importance of sound nutritional information about such products, and interdepartmental doctoral program in Food and Nutritional Sciences has been established at the University of Manitoba. From the earnings on this fund, an annual award valued at the available annual income from the fund will be available to a studnet in the Ph.D. program in Food and Nutritional Science.
