Eligibility	The Western Canada Dental Society has established a fund at The University of Manitoba in the amount of $5000 to provide an annual scholarship recognizing high achievement in academic and research activity at the graduate level. The scholarship, valued at the available annual interest* on the fund, will be awarded to a full-time graduate student in the Faculty of Dentistry who is registered for an advanced degree. To be considered, a student must have completed successfully at least one year of a graduate program leading to either the M.Sc. or the Ph.D degree. While selection will be based on the student's overall academic record, particular weight will be placed on research and scholarly activity.

Application Details	It will be the responsibility of each department to nominate one student registered in its graduate program for this award. The name of the student, and all documents supporting the department's nomination, shall be submitted (by June 1 of each year) to the Faculty of Dentistry Graduate Studies and Research Committee, which will act as the selection committee. The Committee shall inform Dental Faculty Council of its decision.
