From the testamentary gift of Esther Seidl and through gifts in her memory, a fund has been established for the purpose of providing assistance to First Nations graduate students in the Faculty of Social Work. Ms. Seidl was a graduate student in Social Work, having completed her Master of Social Work degree in February of 1997. She died on May 22, 1997. The available annual income from the fund will support scholarships, the value and number of which will be determined annually by the selection committee, for students who:
are First Nations students;
are enrolled as full-time students in the Master of Social Work or Ph.D. program in Social Work;
have completed all courses required for the degree and have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on these courses;
are working on the thesis or practicum portion of their degree requirements. |
