Eligibility The Manitoba Council of Reading Clinicians is making available two scholarships of $500 or one scholarship of $1000 to students in Clinical Reading status at the Graduate Level (Masters or Doctorate). Applicants must plan to complete requirements for certification as a reading clinician in Manitoba or if certification requirements already have been met, then applicants must be undertaking further studies in the area of Clinical Reading. Applicants must be a resident of Manitoba at the time of application. Upon completion of studies, it is expected that the recipient of this scholarship would serve in some capacity in the area of clinical reading in the province of Manitoba. The award is tenable at any accredited institution acceptable to the Scholarship Committee. Applicant Requirements Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, must have at least two years of teaching experience, and must be willing to serve as a reading clinician in Manitoba after the completion of studies. A scholarship will be awarded on the basis of: (a) academic standing, (b) previous work with children, (c) references, (d) written autobiography, (e) personal interview.
