Eligibility	The Department of Biochemistry and Medical Genetics has created an endowment fund to provide support to their graduate students in a number of ways. One of the purposes of this fund is to provide a graduate award to an exceptional student in Biochemistry and Medical Genetics. From time to time, a portion of the available annual income from the fund (the frequency, number, and value of awards are to be decided by the Human Genetics Endowment Fund Committee) shall be used to provide an award to a graduate student who: is enrolled full-time in the Masters or Ph.D. program in Biochemistry and Medical Genetics, in the Faculty of Graduate Studies at the University of Manitoba; has achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average (on undergraduate and graduate courses) of 3.5; shows great promise and research potential in the area of medical genetics, as deemed by the selection committee.
