Eligibility Through a generous anonymous donation and a contribution from the Manitoba Scholarship and Bursary Initiative, an endowment fund has been established at the University of Manitoba in honour of Berdie and Irvin Cohen. The available annual income from the fund shall provide scholarships to students who:
  • have completed at least one year of full-time study at the University of Manitoba or have graduated from the University of Manitoba within the five years immediately preceding application for this scholarship;
  • are admitted to and enroll at Hebrew University in Israel for one year of study in the year in which the scholarship is tenable;
  • have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0.

  • Preference in selection is to be given to graduate students. For selection purposes, a high degree of weighting will be placed on the applicant’s cumulative grade point average.
