Eligibility Nightingale Award value $1,000 This award was inspired in 1998 by CNF supporter, Mr. Po Ting Ip, of Vancouver, BC. The award is dedicated to Canadian home health care nurses enrolled in professional development courses, programs, or workshops related to their field. Mr. Ip wanted to provide a special opportunity to home care nurses in Canada for the important work they do, but more specifically “to encourage the award recipient to have Florence Nightingale’s spirit”. Internationally Educated Nurses Administered by the Canadian Nurses Foundation, the RBC Diversity in Nursing Fund provides scholarships to Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs). These scholarships will subsidize the cost of bridging programs, including language training, enabling IENs to practise as Registered Nurses in Canada. TD Aboriginal Nursing Fund (pending) The TD Aboriginal Nursing Fund will support First Nation Status or Non-status, Inuit or Métis* nurses at the Bachelor, Master’s, PhD and Nurse Practitioner levels. This fund aims to support Canadian Aboriginal nursing students who intend to practice nursing preferably in Aboriginal communities, Aboriginal health settings or any health settings. Masters and Doctoral Scholarships Applicants must be studying Canada at a Canadian university or college.
