Eligibility The Board will make an assessment each year to determine if the Scholarship Program will be offered for the next Academic Year. The Scholarship Program is available to Canadian and foreign students enrolled in a Canadian University LLM program who are confirmed as the Designated Candidate by the Law School. Only one Designated Candidate per law school is eligible. The CPLF Graduate Scholarship in Law is awarded to a student on a one-time basis only. Student will not be permitted to re-apply for the scholarship if they have received the scholarship in a prior year. The CPLF Scholarship Subcommittee will make its recommendation for award(s) on the basis of: * thesis topic(s) that are of interest to Canadian oil and gas lawyers*; or * recipient(s) intending to make a significant contribution to the Canadian oil and gas legal practice.

Application Details Visit the Canadian Petroleum Law Foundation web site at http://www.cplf.org/ for details. Each Designated Candidate must submit a statement describing the thesis topic and why it would be of interest to Canadian oil and gas lawyers and/or a description of the activities undertaken by the applicant that are intended to make a significant contribution to the Canadian oil and gas legal practice. The application must be accompanied by a letter from the Law School confirming that the candidate is the Designated Candidate for the Law School for the Scholarship Program. The recipient(s) will be determined by the Board upon recommendation of the CPLF Scholarship Subcommittee. The Board has the discretion to award all or part of the $20,000 to one or more graduate students or to award no scholarship in respect of any year. Contact: Brett, D.
