| Eligibility |
The scholarship, currently valued at $12,500, will be awarded to a student who:
- is registered full-time, in the Faculty of Graduate Studies, in the first or second year of an M.Sc. or Ph.D. in biological sciences, in the area of animal biology;
- has achieved academic excellence (minimum degree grade point average of 3.5) based on the last two years of full-time study;
- demonstrates research potential or expertise based on letters of reference;
- demonstrates scholarship based on project reports, publications, conference presentations or related accomplishments.
If the selected recipient does not register as required, the scholarship will then be awarded by reversion to the next qualified candidate. This scholarship cannot be held with any other awards valued at more than $5,000 each. The scholarship may only be held once by a recipient.
