This award has been established by the Silverhill Institute of Environmental Research and Conservation which is a registered Canadian charitable foundation. The objectives of the foundation are:
to support and carry out research on environmental issues
to develop environmental and conservation materials for the general public
to support wetland protection and restoration
This grant award is for Masters graduate student research (thesis or major paper) that is applied in nature and can be demonstrated to have community benefit or applicability. A grant will be made to one or more graduate students in Canada for topics that
have an applied environmental or conservation focus
have potential to contribute to community benefit
