The Daniel B. Goldberg Scholarship is available to graduate student who is enrolled in a full-time master's study that prepares students for careerd in state and local government finance and expecting to be enrolled in spring semester. Baccalaureate degree of its equivalent. Citizen or permanent reside of the United States or Canada. Recommendation from student's academic advisor or dean or the graduate program. Student has not been a past winner of a scholarship program administered by GFOA. Value: $10,000. Frank L. Greathouse Government Accounting Scholarship is available for award to one or more undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in full-time study in an accounting program preparing for a career in state and local government finance. Undergraduate students must be in the process of completing at least their junior year by the time the scholarship is awarded. Citizens or permanent resident of the United States or Canada. Recommendation by student's academic advisor or the chair of the accounting program. Student has not been a past winner of a scholarship program administered by the GFOA. Value: $5,000 The Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship to an upper division undergraduate or graduate student in public administration, governmental accounting, finance, political science, economics, or business administration (with a specific focus on government or nonprofit management). Belong to one of the following groups (as define by the U.S. Census Bureau): Black or African American, American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander, Hispanic or Latino. Citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada. Recommendation by student's academic advisor, department chair (undergraduate students), or dean of the graduate program (graduate students). Student has not been a past winner of a scholarhsp program administered by the GFOA. Value: $5,000 The Government Finance Professional Development Scholarship a part-time student in a graduate program in public administration, governmental accounting, finance,economics, or business administration preparing for a career in state and local govenment finance; student must expect to be enrolled in the Spring semester. Employed at least two years or more. Recommendation by your academic advisor or dean of the graduate program. Recommendation by your employer. Baccalaureate degree or its equivalent. Student has not been a past winner of a scholarship program administered the GFOA of the United States and Canada. Value: $5,000 |
