The 2013-2014 Fulbright competition is now open. This opportunity is for future or current graduate students who wish to study or conduct research in the United States. Types of Awards Formal Enrolment Awards - for candidates who plan to enrol in a graduate program n the United States; Research - for candidates enrolled in a graduate program at a Canadian university who wish to conduct research in the United States for one academic year; Independent Research - for candidates who wish to pursue one year of independent research in the United States

Services to Fulbright Students A program officer available to answer any of the student's questions about the prgram either before or during their time abroad. Services are provided to obtain the necessary documentatino for J-1 and J-2 visas. |

Selection Process
All eligible files are forwarded to The Canada-US Fulbright Program Adjudication Committee for review
The Adjudication Committee is comprised of nine academics from universities across Canada, who will submit their recommendations for each application
All applicants will be notified of the status of their application
Applicants are normally notified of the final decisiion by April 15th
Selection is open and competitive, based on a combination of the proposed program of study or research, academic record and professional background, personal statements, letters of reference, and adherence to the aims of the Canada-U.S. Fulbright Program
