Eligibility The Award was initiated in 1999 to recognize the pioneering petrological and scientific contributions of Dr. Cameron to coal geology, and coal and organic petrology in Canada and abroad. It is awarded to graduate students as a tribute to Dr. Cameron who worked patiently and enthusiastically to introduce and teach many ‘students’ about the petrology of organic matter in sedimentary rocks. It is presented to a Canadian student who is currently registered in, or has recently completed, a Masters or Doctoral program, and who has demonstrated his/her aptitude for research in organic petrology and\or geochemistry relating to fossil fuels and the environment.
Value The MSc recipient will be presented with $300; The PhD recipient will be presented with $400
