Eligibility The purpose of the LGA's graduate scholarship is to build alcohol and gambling research capacity in Manitoba by providing financial support to students who undertake projects related to the LGA's regulatory mandate as part of their graduate studies.

Applicants must be registered in a full-time graduate program at a recognized Manitoba post-secondary institution. Applicants must be engaged in or about to embark on the research portion of their thesis or dissertation. Research must be original and cannot consist solely of a literature review. Graduate scholarships are available only to students registered in programs of study that include significant research training; students registered in course-based programs are not eligible to apply.
Value Scholarships are valued at $5,000 for masterís students and $10,000 for doctoral students.

Application Details Students may apply to receive funding that starts either in the winter term (January) or the fall term (September) of the academic year. Applications for January funding must be received in full by November 1, 2017.
