Eligibility The CIFST Scholarship Trust is pleased to announce the availability of the following graduate scholarships: George Weston Ltd. Graduate Student Scholarships Two (2) graduate scholarships are to be awarded to graduate students in food related programs; one award of $2,500 is available for a student in an MSc program and one award of $4,000 for a student in a PhD program. IUFoST Travel Scholarship Travel and accomodatio expenses to the 15h World Congress of Food Science and Technology Food Science Solutions for an Evolving World that will be held from August 22nd to 26th in Cape Town, South Africa. A student paper will be delivered at the Congress. The purpose of these awards is to encourage scholarship in food related programs. Elgibility: At the time of application, sutdents must be enrolled in an accredited Master or Doctoral level program at a recognized Canadian university, in a food realted program such as food science, food engineering, applied nutrition, or human ecology. Students must be enrolled in programs requiring completion of thesis research in a food sciences related area. Applicants must be current Members or Student Members of CIFST, and for the George Weston Ltd. Graduate Student Scholarships also have Canadian citizenship or be accepted permanent residents of Canada. The awards will be made, based on the student's scholastic performance, the merit of the student's research paper (in progress, or proposed) and the recommendations by the student's Research Supervisor and Department Head.
