At the present time the Link Foundation is committed to the support of the existing programs and therefore cannot accept applications in new areas. The Link Foundation supports programs to foster the theoretical basis, practical knowledge, and application of energy, simulation, and ocean engineering and instrumentation research, and to disseminate the results of that research through lectures, seminars and publications.
Link Foundation Energy Program * The applicant must be working toward a Ph.D. in an academic institution. (Please note that the applicant must be accepted in a Ph.D. program.) * No limitations have been placed on citizenship. * Fellowships are only tenable at U.S. and Canadian Universities. Value: $50,000 Application deadline: December 1. Advanced Simulation and Training Fellowships The Link Foundation awards up to five fellowships to qualified doctoral students in academic institutions per year. This Fellowship continues to support research in the field of flight training, but its scope has been expanded to a variety of non-aviation applications. Value: $25,000 Ocean Engineering and Instrumentation Fellowhship Program To foster ocean engineering and ocean instrumentation research; to enhance both the theoretical and practical knowledge and applications of ocean engineering and instrumentation research; and to disseminate the results of that research through lectures, seminars and publications. On the basis of an application to the Foundation in the form of a research proposal, awards will be made to predoctoral candidates enrolled in academic institutions located in the United States and Canada.
