Value: $24,000 US Application deadline: November 15 Motorola/IEEE Components, Packaging and Manufacturing Technology Society Graduate Fellowship for Research Promotes graduate-level study and research on electronic packaging. Must have completed a minimum of four years of college plys one year of graduate study in a recognized scientific or engineering curriculum; must be enrolled full-time in a graduate curriculum leading to a Ph.D., with electronic packaging as a major field of interest. Value: $21,000 US IEEE Dielectrics & Electrical Insulation Society Graduate Student Fellowship was designed to support graduate research in the area of insulation or dielectrics for full-time graduate students at universities in Canada or the USA. Value: 2 US $7,500 or 3 US $5,000 Application deadline: May 10 Electron Devices Society Ph.D. Student Fellowhship Program was established to promote, recognize, and support graduate level study and research within EDS. At least one fellowship will be awarded to students in each of the following geographical regions every year: Americas, Europe/Mid-East/Africa, Asia-Pacific. Value: $17,000 US plus research budget of $3,000 US IEEE Life Members Graduate Study Fellowship in Electrical Engineering is awarded annually to a first year*, full-time graduate student obtaining their Masters for work in the area of electrical engineering, at an engineering school/program of recognized standing worldwide. Value: $10,000 IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society Graduate Fellowships was created to support a Graduate student wishing to pursue graduate degree in microwave engineering on a full-time basis from a reputable institution of higher education. Both the student and faculty member must be a member of MTT-S. Value: $5,000 US Application deadline: November 30 IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Summer Research Grant will fund scholarships for deserving graduate students who need financial support for their research during a summer period. Any student with a meritorious project is invited to apply, but scholarships will be granted only to applicants who are student members of the IEEE at the time of the grant. The field of interest of applicants is open, but should be connected with identifiable components of the NNS (neural networks, fuzzy systems, or evolutionary computation). Value: $1,000 to $4,000 US Application deadline: March 31 Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society Graduate Scholarship Award recognizes contributions from any graduate student in the fields of nuclear and plasma sciences. Value: $500 US certificate, and one-year complimentary membership in the Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society Application deadline: January 31 IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society Pre-Doctoral Fellowship recognizes the academic record and promise of students in Ph.D. programs in the areas of solid state circuits. Must have completed at least one (1) year of graduate study and be in a Ph.D. program in the area of solid-state circuits. Must be an IEEE member or Student member. Value: Up to US$25,000 (US$15,000 stipend, up to US$8,000 in tuition and fees and US$2,000 to the student's department for research support) Application deadline: May 15
