Eligibility The Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences, Inc. (BIOS) is uniquely situated and excellently equipped for highly productive marine field research. Only 700 miles (about two hours flying time) from the East Coast of the U.S., Bermuda is located on some of the world's northernmost coral reefs and surrounded by deep ocean. Significant research opportunities are presented by Bermuda's diversity of ecological communities: from limestone caves and mangroves to coral reefs and the Sargasso Sea. Scholarships for Canadian Undergraduate and Graduate Students A special opportunity exists for Canadian students to visit the Bermuda Biological Station for Research. This opportunity is made available in the form of scholarships from CABIOS. Courses Student must apply for and be admitted into specific courses offered at BIOS. Visit http://www.bios.edu/education/summer_courses.html for course descriptions. Internships Students should identify a BIOS faculty member with whom they wish to intern. Potential interns should contact a faculty member and convince him/her that they should be awarded a CABIOS Scholarhsip. Please apply six weeks prior to start of course
