Eligibility Scholarships will be awarded to nine Canadian students who will be attending college or university in Canada in September 2010. Applicants may be students who will be graduating high school in June 2010, or individuals who are already enrolled in a college or university. The winning applicants will be young Canadians who have achieved a high level of academic and leadership standards over the years. One “CSSA Scholarship Foundation” award will be offered in each of the following six regions: Atlantic Canada • Quebec • Ontario • Manitoba & Saskatchewan • Alberta • British Columbia. The following criteria will be used in judging the 2010 submissions: * The applicant’s ability to read and fully comprehend the terms and conditions of the Application Procedure * The applicant’s ability to ensure that all components of the application – the Applicant Information Form, the 2” x 3” photo, the essay, the transcripts, the evaluation form and the typed resumé are received by the CSSA Scholarship Foundation office before June 15, 2010. • The applicant’s academic achievements as well as school / college activities, volunteer-ism and social achievements. • The quality of the essay ... originality, clarity, grammar and presentation. Please include the word count at the bottom of the essay.
