surgeon, who perished in a plane crash while

the best patient care, entering the 3rd or 4th
year of study in the residency program in
the Department of Surgery. Selection based
on leadership, technical skills and mentoring
of students and other residents. Candidate
must show exceptional compassion, caring,
and kindness to patients and colleagues. The
candidate should be gentle and thoughtful

Osten/Victor Bursary Award is open to students who are registered full-time in a thesis-based program leading to a Master's or Doctoral degree in the Faculty of Medicine at the UofC. Recommendation from the Faculty of Medicine will be submiited for approval to the Graduate Scholarship Committee Value: $5,000 George Prieur Scholarship Residenty in pediatrics at Alberta Children's Hospital Value: $500 Apply to Alberta Children's Hospital Hillhurst Sunnyside Prize aims to assist a graduate student who has exhibited a commitment to the vibrant role of the inner city core of Calgary. The award seeks to foster research to enhance our community and the vitality that has made Calgary one of Canada's great cities. Awarded to a student who is registered full or part time in a Master's or doctoral program at the UofC in the Faculty of Graduate Studies or the Faculty of Environmental Design focusing on social, political or physical issues relating to the development or preservation of Calgary's inner city. Value: $1,000 The Gerry "GIT" Rempel Memorial Graduate Scholarship Open to students n the first or second year of study in a Master of Science degree program with an academic average of 85 per cent, as determined by the Award Committee. All applicants must submit a brief statement, no more than two pages in length, demonstrating their athletic and leadership abilities. Preference given to student who are pursuing a Master of Science in Physics and Engineering Physics, Mathematics and Statistics, or Biology; and demonstrate athletic ability through involvement with Huskie athletics.
