Eligibility Supporting a culture of collaboration and knowledge exchange is an important part of CIHR's mandate. Knowledge Translation (KT) is a dynamic and iterative process that includes the synthesis, dissemination, exchange and ethically-sound application of knowledge to improve the health of Canadians, provide more effective health services and products and strengthen the healthcare system. For your application to be eligible:
  • The Nominated Principal Applicant must be one of the following: 1. An independent researcher 2. A trainee
  • Doctoral stream: * Must be currently enrolled in a health-related PhD program * Must have completed a minimum of 2 years of their program by the application deadline
  • The Nominated Principal Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
