The Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR) Training Grant in Population Intervention for Chronic Disease Prevention: A Pan-Canadian Program is offering interdisciplinary training awards for full time graduate students. The program is a collaborative effort of four institutions - University of Waterloo; Ontario Tobacco Research Unit/University of Toronto; University of Alberta; and University of British Columbia - with 72 mentors from 18 institutions in nine provinces. The program is funded by CIHR, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (HSFC) and Cancer Care Ontario (CCO) and offers a specialized, interdisciplinary training experience that supplements mainstream graduate programs. |
