Eligibility |
The Faculty of Graduate Studies will fund the second year of a Master's student who held a Tri-Council CGSM or PGSM award in the first year of their Master's program. The award will be valued up to the same rate as the recipient's Tri-Council award. This award program is subject to the availability of funds from the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
The University of Manitoba Tri-Council Master's Supplement Award will be offered to graduate students who:
- were new recipients of a Tri-Council CGSM or PGSM award offered through one of the following programs: CIHR Canada Graduate Scholarships Master's Awards, NSERC Postgraduate Scholarships, NSERC Canada Graduate Student Scholarships, SSHRC Canada Graduate Scholarships; and
- have not received funding equal to or greater than the value of this award in the second year of their Master's program.

Application Details |
Faculty of Graduate Studies
No application is required; if eligible, recipients are first notified on their original Tri-Agency CGSM or PGSM offer letter sent by the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Recipients will also receive an official TMSA offer letter in April/May of each year which will include instructions on how to activate their TMSA award.
