Eligibility	The Department of Mathematics at the University of Manitoba has established an annually funded fellowship to recognize graduate students who have achieved academic excellence in their Master’s or doctoral program. Beginning in the 2015-2016 academic year, one or more fellowships, valued at up to $10,000 each, will be offered to graduate students who: (1) are enrolled full-time in the Faculty of Graduate Studies in a Master’s or doctoral program delivered by the Department of Mathematics at the University of Manitoba; (2) have achieved a minimum grade point average of 3.5 (or equivalent) in the last 24 credit hours of study; (3) have demonstrated academic excellence in the study of Mathematics. To support criteria (3), candidates will be required to submit the following: (1) a cover letter (maximum 500 words) that describes the status and progress of the applicant’s research program and course work; (2) a curriculum vitae; (3) an academic letter of reference from a university instructor.
