Telephone Registration - UMREG

10. Terminating Your Call and Fee Assessment

  • When you enter 8 # to terminate your call the system asks if you want to obtain your fee assessment.

  • If you answer "no," or hang up, your call will end, and the system will retain any course selections you have made to that point. Your fees will not be updated.

  • If you answer "yes," your fees will be assessed and you will be asked to make a note of your fees on the UMREG financial worksheet. It is recommended that you always obtain an updated fee balance.

  • Even though your fees have been assessed you may call back to add, drop, or change your courses. There is no additional charge or penalty if you finalize your registration and ask for your revised fees at the end of each call. But, you must pay your fees by the published deadline dates, whether or not you obtained a fee statement by mail.

11. Obtaining Your Fee Balance
If all you want to do is check your fee balance, call UMREG and choose the Other functions option by pressing "2" on your telephone keypad at the first voice prompt; then choose the Fee Balance option by pressing "2" again. Follow the instructions.

All students, regardless of whether or not their programs require telephone registration, may use this feature to check fee balances.

You may also check your fee balance through the Internet at My UMinfo.

12. Fee Payment Reminder
Registration is not complete until you pay your fees. Your fees are due by the deadline whether or not a fee statement has been mailed to you. You can remit your fees by mail, pay them in person, or through a financial institution as described in the Fee Payment.

If you make any amendment to your registration in late August, it is important to ask UMREG for a fee assessment and to make arrangements to pay those fees by the fee deadline date. Late fees will be added to your assessment if you don't pay on time.

Changes you make to your registration after classes start may affect your fees. Again, it is essential for you to ask UMREG for a fee assessment and to make your payment accordingly.
