Section 8: Appeals

8.1 Authorized Withdrawal:
Students who have valid and documented reasons for withdrawal, such as medical illness or compassionate circumstances, may be authorized to withdraw without penalty. Authorized withdrawal must be approved by the Faculty of Science General Office.

8.2 Other academic appeals:
Students who believe they have grounds for some academic concessions based on their personal circumstances should consult with a Science Student Advisor. The Office of Student Advocacy, 519 University Centre, 474-7423, Student_advocacy@umanitoba.ca is also available to provide information and assistance.
