The Registration System: Aurora Student
Section 3: Your Initial Registration Access Time
Each new group will have access to the Aurora Student registration system beginning at 8:30 a.m. on the dates listed below, and will continue to have access until the end of the Revision Period for the term. On July 4, 2006, you may access Aurora Student to find your specific date of registration. To find your registration time, access Aurora Student at umanitoba.ca, then Enrolment and Academic Records, then Registration, then Registration Time & Status.
3.1 Advanced Registration Period
Registration Time: July 12
Bison Athletes, Students with Disabilities, New High School admits to Engineering
3.2 Newly Admitted High School and U1 Students
Registration Times: July 17, 18, 19, 20
New High School and Mature Status admits to U1, Fine Arts and Music
3.3 Returning U of M Students
Registration Times:
July 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 31, Aug 1, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11
Includes: Agricultural and Food Sciences; Architecture (Environmental Design); Arts; Environment, Earth & Resources; Fine Arts; Human Ecology; Engineering; Music; Nursing; Physical Education & Recreation Studies; Science; Social Work; University 1.
Students will register according their Cumulative Grade Point Average.
Asper School of Business students
Registration Times:
July 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, Aug 1, 2, 3, 4
Students will register according to their year of study and their
cumulative grade point average.
Faculty of Education Students
Registration Times:
Aug 2, 3, 4, 8, 9
All Faculty of Education students except PBDE Program and
PBCE Program which are granted Open Access Assigned
by last two digits of student number.
3.4 Newly Admitted External Transfers and Newly Admitted Second Degree Students
Registration Times: beginning August 2
3.5 Special Students, Visiting Students and all Extended Education
Registration Times: beginning August 15
3.6 Open Access Period
Students in the following groups may enroll as of July 24 at 8:30 a.m.
Grad Studies (except MBA, MSc and PhD programs in Management); PBDE & PBCE; Agriculture Diploma; Dentistry; Dental Hygiene; Medicine; Pharmacy
3.7 In-Person
Students not eligible to use web registration may enroll as of July 24.
Arts Honours students; English Language Centre; Law; Med Rehab; PGME; Auditors; MBA; MSc; and PhD programs in Management
3.8 Other Exceptions to Aurora Student Registration
Courses for credit that are offered to University of Manitoba students at the Canadian Mennonite University, William and Catherine Booth College, and Collège universitaire de Saint-Boniface, are not available through Aurora Student. If you are interested in taking a U of M credit course at any of these colleges, contact your faculty or school as well as the college directly.
