Eligibility	The Canadian Water Resources Association annually offers six scholarships. Funding for the 2022 scholarship has been provided by Golder Associates. Value: $2,000 All applicants will receive a one-year membership in the Canadian Water Resources Association. The scholarships are open either to Canadian citizens or landed immigrants attending a Canadian University or college, who are enrolled in full-time graduate studies in any discipline in both Fall and Winter terms of the 2021-2022 academic year. The scholarships are awarded primarily on the basis of academic excellence and project relevance to water management and development. Eligibility	The Norman Barwin Scholarship for reproductive health is for a full-time graduate student registered at a Canadian University during the 2011-2012 academic year. The scholarship is open to Canadian Citizens or landed immigrants who are graduates of any recognized university, with an Honours degree or its equivalent. She or he must be enrolled at the time of application and must be working toward a higher degree (e.g. Masters or PhD) in the field of sexual and reproductive health and rights. This could include disciplines such as biology, Canadian studies, education, global health, history, law, medicine, nursing, political science, psychology, social work, sociology, and women’s studies. Eligibility	To honour the breadth of Carla Thorlakson’s intellectual interests and her professionalism, Carla’s parents established a trust fund in her memory at the University of Manitoba following her death in December of 1995. The fund provides students with the opportunity to travel and to thereby enhance their educational experience or research opportunities. The award will be offered to one or more graduate students who: (1) are enrolled full-time in any master’s or doctoral program in the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies at the University of Manitoba; (2) have achieved a minimum grade point average of 3.5 based on the previous 60 credit hours (or equivalent) of study; (3) demonstrate any one of the following: (i) need and intent to conduct archival or field research at a location outside of Canada; (ii) receipt of a letter of permission to study at a partner institution outside of Canada in a course or program related to their graduate degree requirements; (iii) acceptance as a participant in a summer institute or special program or symposium related to their graduate program at a location outside of Canada; (iv) approval for acceptance into an International Centre for Students (ICS) Exchange Program with a University of Manitoba partner university; (v) participation in some other exercise or activity (e.g. foreign language training, specialized data training, etc.) at a location outside of Canada that directly contributes to their graduate program of study or research. Travel must be initiated within twelve (12) months of receiving this award. Preference will be given to applicants whose planned or current research relates to any of the following areas of interest: human migration, including refugees, immigration or emigration; the status of women; or Canada’s Foreign Service.

Eligibility	Mary Catherine Cartwright (Arts ‘26) was a keen student of philosophy who went on to have a career as a teacher and educational administrator in Toronto. At her death she left a bequest to The University of Manitoba “for the use and benefit of the Department of Philosophy as distinct from the Department of Psychology”. The Mary Catherine Cartwright Fellowships for Master’s students in philosophy are made possible by this generous bequest. At the time of taking up the award, a recipient must be commencing full-time study in the Master of Arts program in philosophy. The award will be tenable for one year and will not be renewed. The recipient of a Cartwright Fellowship must have achieved a grade point average of not less than 3.60 over a base period defined as follows: the results of at least one full year of study consisting of not less than 24 credit hours prior to the year during which the award is applied for, plus whatever results are available for the first term of the academic year during which the award is applied for.
